Air Plant (Tillandsia) ‘Curly Slim’

The kooky curls of this intriguing Tillandsia make a funky accessory for a bright windowsill, shelf or steamy bathroom. Tillandsia ‘Curly Slim’ has broad, silvery-green foliage cascading into a fountain of curly tendrils topped with a long, pink flower spike in summer. The flower and base will produce young ‘pups’ which you can give to friends. Hygienic and air-purifying, this living ornament requires no soil, making it mess-free and easy to maintain. 

Air Plants, or Tillandsia, are rainforest plants which grow naturally on rocks and tree branches, gathering the moisture and nutrients they need from the air around them. Spiky tufts of foliage look good all year round, whilst in summer they’re topped with a bright-coloured bloom. These tropical plants need very little care to thrive – just plenty of light and humidity.
