Cactus Gymnocalycium mihanovichii f. variegata is quite a mouthful but it’s more easily remembered by its nickname of ‘Moon Cactus’ – a name it deserves due to its extraordinary, glowing colours. A native of desert habitats in Argentina, it lacks green chlorophyll, forming a luminous globe of orange, pink and yellow. The cactus is actually two cacti combined – it is grafted onto the thick base of another, chlorophyll-producing cactus, which provides it with the sustenance it needs to grow. These cacti remain small, reaching a maximum of 2 inches across. Height and spread: 5cm (2in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
