Calathea Makoyana

Calathea makoyana is one of the most spectacular indoor plants. Tall, slender stems bear large, flat, oval leaves; each beautifully patterned with bold and exquisite markings that give this Calathea the nickname of peacock plant. The steams and leaf undersides are pinkish red, whilst new leaves emerge tightly rolled. Like other prayer plants, the leaves gracefully fold up at night. This air-purifying houseplant makes an elegant and eye-catching addition to any room, thriving in a bright spot out of direct sunlight. Height: 60cm (24in). Spread: 40cm (16in).
