Masses of long, white, candle-like flower spikes,up to 15cm long, cover this bushy compact variety through late summer. The flowers of Clethra alnifolia ‘Sixteen Candles’ are sweetly clove-scented and long-lasting, luring a wealth of beneficial pollinators. They are especially popular with butterflies. This bushy, rounded, suckering shrub is covered in glossy, toothed leaves which often turn strong shades of yellow in the autumn. A lovely choice for a shady, lime-free border where it will flower abundantly. Height and Spread: 1m (39in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
