Parthenocissus Henryana

Parthenocissus henryana is a majestic deciduous climber with twining stems that cloak walls in a dense covering of foliage. Palmate, deep green, velvety leaves are tinted bronze-pink when young, with prominent silver veins. In autumn the foliage turns to radiant shades of red and orange, enhanced by attractive clusters of blue-black berries. This magnificent Chinese Virginia Creeper is less vigorous than other species, but will still require plenty of space. Tolerant of both sun and shade, it is particularly useful for those tricky north facing walls that get little sun. Height: 12m (40’). Spread: 4m (13’).
